Nest #50 had a hatchlings caught in roots. After investigating we realized that they were stuck. Once the roots were removed 77 hatchlings were eager to race to the ocean. Inventory resulted in 78 shells, 1 dead and 13 unhatched.
The tide was inches from nests #53 and #54. It is suppose to be about the same height for both highs for the next few days. The wind will be a factor too. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
