Caswell Beach Has First Sea Turtle Nests for 2025

As of today, Caswell Beach, NC is excited to share news about its first 4 nests of the 2025 season. It looks like there were some fairly large, mature mamas, with crawl widths at 40+”! Our neighboring beaches have also seen their first nest occurences, so the season is off to a great start here in North Carolina.

As always, we ask that if you see a turtle on the beach that you keep a safe distance and call the Caswell Beach Turtle Watch Hotline immediately at 910-368-6323. Please do the same should you see a turtle in distress in the water or that has been accidentally hooked.

**This conservation work for protected sea turtles on Caswell Beach is authorized by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (ES Permit 25ST03).

Please consider donating to our efforts as we build up our necessary resources for the season.
