No new crawls or nests today.
- Nest #13 had small crab holes.
- Nest #35 had a nice low crevice with a small hole, but no hatchling tracks.
- Nest #24 had a crab hole and possibly a few hatchling tracks leading to the high tide line.
- The BIG news is Nest #6 finally had some hatchlings! Day 71! There were several hatchling tracks in the runway and 5 turtles on top of the nest being attacked by hundreds of ants! We acted fast (no pictures of the ants) and set those babies free to head to the water. One or two were stuck in the roots. 4 out of the 5 made their way straight and focused, but 1 needed some guidance. 2 small families got there just in time to see the last 3 babies.
- Nest #11 had their Inventory this morning and were just finishing with clean up when the storm hit! At least the hatchlings made it in the water before the rain! Team 1 wasn’t so lucky!
