Slow Crawl for Caswell Beach Sea Turtle Nests

Caswell Beach is slowly gaining new sea turtle nests day by day. We luckily received Nest #23 today so we are 1 for 1 this weekend. The sea turtle mama chose a nice high dune area to lay and tried her best to trick the patrol team, so it took some time to find her nest!

Yesterday had a False Crawl where the sea turtle mama started digging a cavity and then abandoned it and returned to the water. Given the animal tracks nearby, we suspect she was not feeling safe laying there.

Fingers crossed our slow crawl will pick up this week!
