WOOHOO!! Nest #2! 39 inch crawl just east of Joe O’Brian walkway.

A false crawl this morning. She traveled a long way and it looked like we just missed her going into the water. Maybe tomorrow.  

Look what we have!  Nest number one is located just west of the 600 walkway. She had a 35 inch crawl and located her nest in a perfectly safe place.  Welcome to 2017 Caswell Turtle Season. One other note interest … we were interviewed by Spectrum News yesterday.  It can be viewed on their website.

Our last nest of the season is at 51 days today.

2015 season is quickly drawing to a close as we only have 3 nests left. #62 @55 days #63 @54 days #64 @45 days

The season is winding down.  We only have 3 nests left..62,63 & 64.

Nest #54 was inventoried last evening resulting in 116 egg shell, 2 unhatched and 5 live hatchlings.
