We had 2 False Crawls this morning.  One was high and up to the grass, but she just didn’t lay for some reason.  The other was in the low tide area and got washed away before we could measure the crawl width.
No crawls of any kind yesterday.

Some have asked how to see data on the seaturtle.org website, so here are a few tips:

  • Go to seaturtle.org
  • Click on Resources (a menu will drop down)
  • Click on Nesting
  • Click on North Carolina
  • Click in the box for Select a Beach
  • Select Caswell Beach, There you can see our latest general data.  It does not give specific data on individual nests.   The whole site has a lot of interesting and useful information!

**This conservation work for protected sea turtles on Caswell Beach is authorized by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (ES Permit 22ST03).
