Sunday. June 19

Today has been a long day.  The Morning Patrol spent 4+ hours on the beach this morning with 4 False Crawls and 2 Nests.  So we have Nest #40 which had to be moved from an escarpment on the east end and Nest #41 which was laid in a safe location!

THEN, we received a call from Southport.  Our Southport Mama has made another appearance on the river beach.  3 of us spent 2+ hours digging in very coarse sand/rock.  She had 3 crawls.  1 was a fairly obvious false crawl.  We checked and rechecked and dug deeper and even hit very wet sand, but couldn’t find any eggs.  So the 3 will be marked as false.  She may return tomorrow.
