Nest #25, Saturday June 17
Nest #25 laid at the Baptists. 33″ crawl. 122 eggs relocated to west of Baptists steps. One 35″ false crawl almost at the Point.
Nest #24, Friday June 16
3 false crawls and Nest #24 were all at the east end. We measured the crawls to be 33,34 and 38 inches but very well could have all been the same turtle. The tracks kept going along the escarpment until she found a good safe place.
Nests #21-23, Thursday June 15
Yesterday’s false crawl between the Baptist lifeguard stand and the 100 walkway is actually Nest #21. She went up into the dune and when she was covering the nest, she was throwing sand uphill. 2 false crawls this morning. 29″ by the baptist life guard stand and a 40″ west of 629 walkway. Reece is going to be released today at 3:30. It was posted on their Facebook page yesterday and had hundreds of shares so get there early if you want to see.
