This morning’s pictures.  The fishing line was in the thrown sand on today’s nest!  So glad Mama didn’t get tangled in it!  Or maybe she brought it in with her and it came off in the process?

HATCHING NEWS:

  • Nest #5 hatched at 10:28 pm with a Boil of 62 hatchlings
  • Nest #8 about the same time with 60 hatchlings.
  • Nest #5’s babies headed straight to the finish line!
  • Nest #8’s babies were extremely disoriented by bright street lights, crawling back to the nest cavity and back out of the water despite all of Team 3’s coaching efforts!  Team 3 worked hard to get them where they needed to go!
  • Nest #2 had a few new hatchling tracks in the runway
  • Nest #10 had lots of new hatchling tracks in the runway.

MORNING NEWS

1 False Crawl and 1 new nest nearby.  They did not have the same crawl width.
