We had babies last night with many excited and helpful beach visitors!

Nest #5 had 90 hatchlings emerge at a slow pace, many crawling/falling back into the nest and some turning around as they made it part way down the runway.  There wasn’t a major offending light until they would have reached the end of the runway.  Team 3 did a great job at redirecting! 2 hatchlings came out of the water.  Their tracks were traced up to the dune 50+ yards from the runway.  Turtle Ambassadors Carson and Carson, Jr. helped locate those!  New members Bobbi & Ken were over the moon!

Nest #7 boiled at 9:15 with 104 hatchlings going straight to the water within 30 minutes.  Visitors were very cooperative with turning off phones and lights and no hatchlings were disoriented.

Nest #11 had one more hatchling emerge at 9:45.

Nest #10 also had more hatchling tracks overnight.

There were no new nests or false crawls this morning, but there were several pesky crabs!
