Caswell Beach Sea Turtles on a Slow Crawl

Caswell Beach’s Sea Turtle Mamas are slowly creeping in and we are up to 14 nests! Nest #13 and Nest #14 were both laid high and dry on this King Tide week.

Unfortunately, Nest #7 was overwashed last night. We are hoping it was a quick splash over and not a soaking. We are told by our NCWRC advisors that a little overwash at this stage of development isn’t a bad thing, and is actually healthy and natural for the nest. Fingers crossed!
